If you are one of our loyal customers moving from Color Manager to MIXIT, then most likely you want to keep on using your favorite own colors you created and mixed within the past years. Our "import own colors" feature enables ShopOwner to import their own colors from Color Manager to MIXIT.
Our advice: Import only the most used own colors from the past 3 years because processing and importing each own color takes time and there is no need to keep the own colors you didn't use for a long time. We advise considering measuring the car and performing a color match instead. You can read here how to perform a color match based on a measurement.
Steps
Here are the steps for importing own colors:
- select and export the most used own colors from ColorManager
- in MIXIT, go to Settings >> Import Own Colors tab
- Click on the 'IMPORT OWN COLORS' button
- Click on the + in the dialog to add a owncolor file (only files with .owncolor extension will work)
- Click on 'SAVE' button
As soon as the file is successfully verified, the own colors are processed one be one. Every 30 seconds the page "Import Own Colors" refreshes automatically and the latest status for each file is shown. An own color successfully imported will available instantly on the 'My Own Colors' page, and after 5 minutes it will be found when performing a color search (via the Home Page) or when performing a bank search (via the Measurement Page). The measurements attached to the successfully imported own colors will be available after 5 minutes on the My Measurements page.
The below video shows how to upload a file into MIXIT and how the own colors are processed.
