Use Automatchich Search to find the best color starting from a measurement of the car.
Based on your toner selection on the Inventory page, MIXIT searches the AkzoNobel database, your personal formulas, and your business partners’ formulas (if applicable). It then presents the top 11 candidates that best match the digital measurement.
When the search is complete, the best matching result appears at the top. The remaining candidates are hidden under "Other Matches" and can be revealed by clicking the + icon.
Closed Search
We advised you to start with a Closed Search: enter the car brand, color code and coarseness (for effect colors) and then click search. MIXIT will search for the top 11 candidates that match the car brand, color code and coarseness you entered.
You can easily change the coarseness, deactivate the coarseness, car brand and/or color code in the Search page.
Open Search
When you do not enter the car brand, color code and coarseness, MIXIT will perform an open search: will return the top 11 candidates without any limitation about car brand, color code or coarseness.
We advise you to always start with a Closed Search: enter the car brand, color code and the coarseness (for effect colors).
Radar Search
If you want to see only the results that can be used to repair a radar car parts, then select the option "only radar candidates".
This option is available only when you entered the car brand and the color code.
Search with all toners
By default, MIXIT will search for the best formulas using all the toners available in your country.
The best match formula may include toners that you do not have in your shop, they are marked in red (such as: newly introduced or special toners). In such cases, ensure your inventory selections are correct via the Inventory page.
You and easily select to search only in your selected toners.
Search with only selected toners
To limit the search to only the toners currently selected in your Inventory, use the “Only selected toners” toggle.
All resulting color formulas will use only the toners you have in your shop, although they may have a lower color confidence level.
Color Confidence Bar
MIXIT optimizes candidates using its proprietary algorithm. Optimized formulas are marked by a light blue section in the confidence bar.
Coarseness
Use the coarseness swatch to identify the right coarseness for your measurement: a number between 0 and 7. Enter the coarseness in the details of your measurement.
Each search result is displayed with two extra digits after the comma (like: 2.43 or 2.31).
MIXIT finds the formulas that are close to your measurement and have a coarseness range of -1,5 and 1,5 to the coarseness you entered. For example: when you enter coarseness 2, the system searches for the best candidates with coarseness between 0,5 and 3,5.
Also, you can change the coarseness value or disable it directly in the Search page.
Filter results
Once the search results are loaded, you can filter them by car brand, color code or coarseness.
Compare with Original
When you have selected your prefered match you will arrive at the formula screen where you have the option to compare the banksearch result with the original formula.
Note: This option is only available when your formula is optimized
After you clicked on Compare with original both formulas are displayed to see what has been changed, the formula of your choice can be selected by clicking on the Use this Formula button at the bottom.
Red toners in my formula
When starting a Bank Search from the Measurements tab, the resulting formula may show red toners if the "Enable toner selection" option is not enabled.
Solution:
1. Go to Settings >> Config.
2. Enable the “Enable toner selection” option.
3. Save the changes.
After enabling this setting, perform the Bank Search again from the Measurements tab. The toners should now appear in black.
