Introduction of the Work Order Manager Role
Effective [state the date], the Work Order Manager Role is introduced in MIXIT Cloud. This role allows the Shop Owner to delegate specific tasks that were previously exclusive to them.
What can the Work Order Manager do?
The Work Order Manager has the following permissions:
- Create new work orders on the Work Order page and during the mixing process.
- Modify the work order number on an existing work order.
- Enter the Amount Approved field.
- Enter the Refinish Hours field.
- Remove a work order.
- Remove the work order number on the mix information page.
Important: With the introduction of the Work Order Manager role, the Painter role will have fewer permissions. To allow a smooth transition, shop owners will have a transition period to assign the new role to their users.
Change in Settings:
The Work Order Manager role replaces the existing setting:
“Enable that only the shop owner can create a new work order” (found in the Settings → Config page).
This setting will be removed after [state the date].
How to assign the Work Order Manager Role
To assign the Work Order Manager role to a user, follow these steps:
1. Log in to MIXIT using the Shop Owner’s credentials.
2. Navigate to Settings → Shop Users.
3. Click Change User Role(s).
4. Select Work Order Manager from the list.
5. Click Save.
The new role is applied immediately, and the user gains access to the additional permissions.
Note: The Shop Owner can remove the Work Order Manager role at any time by following the same steps and deselecting the role.
