If you are not happy with the spray-out result, a correction can be made using the color correction tool. This tool compares the measurement of the car with the measurement of the color spray-out card.
There are 2 ways to start a color correction.
2. From the Work Order overview
Starting from the Mix History page:
Navigate to the Mix History page, find the mix you want to correct, and click the color correction icon
Starting from the Work Order page:
Navigate to the Work Order page, open the relevant Work Order, and click on the three dots behind the color you want to correct.
Clicking on the three dots will open the screen below. Please select the color correction icon
After clicking the correction icon, a screen appears with 3 options to choose from.
Depending on your situation, you can choose one of the following options:
-
Take a new measurement
Choose this option if no measurement has been taken of the spray-out card. -
Import measurement
Use this option if the measurement of the spray-out card is still stored on the camera. -
Select measurement
Use this option if the measurement of the spray-out card has already been synced to MIXIT.
To give an example of the complete wizard, I will choose the option "Take a new measurement." The other options simply skip steps in the wizard.
The worklist name is prefilled as "Car10.C"
This is the original name of the car measurement with “.C” added—the “C” stands for Correction.
To transfer the worklist to the camera, click the Start Synchronization button.
Take the camera, select the worklist item, and measure the spray-out card.
Connect the camera back to the PC and click on Start Synchronization to transfer the measurement to MIXIT.
The measurement “Car10.C” is automatically selected. Click on Next Step to continue.
MIXIT will now recalculate the formula based on the car measurement and the spray-out measurement and present you with the new formula. If you agree with the corrections made to the formula, click on Accept Correction in the lower right corner of this screen. Once you have accepted the correction, you can start mixing the corrected formula.
