When a formula (color, primer, clearcoats, double A-components) is mixed then MIXIT creates a mix and a user can print the label for the mix. We call this label a mix label and one label will be created per layer. 

The mix label can be printed from the Mix History page by clicking the label icon belonging the mix you want to print. If your mix contains 3 layers, then 3 mix labels will be printed: one for each layer. If the mix has 3 layers, but you mixed only 2 layers, then clicking the label icon will result in only 2 labels being printed. If the mix is paused, then a mix label cannot be printed: you need to first finish the mix.

In case you need to print the mix label for a specific layer, then you can click the mix information icon , then select the layer and then the button.

Note: The communication between the MIXIT web application and the label printer is done via the Instrument Manager. So, in order to print a label, first the label printer must be configured in the Instrument Manager.

When should I use a mix label?

The main goal of a mix label is to inform the user about the poured quantities of each component and to easily find the mix back in the system for mixing more.

We recommend to print a mix label in the following situations:

• when you create a spray out panel for a visual check. Print the mix label for the layer and attach it to the back of the panel. The mix label contains the mix number which you can later use in order to easily find the mix in MIXIT using the Mix History page. Once you found the mix, you can mix more and obtain the same color as on the spray-out panel.
• when you mix several formulas. Print the mix label and attach it to the mixing can.

Note: When you want to print the components and the quantities and should be mixed, use the formula label. When you want to print a label a ready mix, use the distributor label.

How can I enable the mix label?

A user with the ShopOwner role can enable or disable the mix label in the Settings >> Config page.

What information does the mix label contain?

The mix label contains:

• information about the mixed layer:
  • the date when the mix was created (in our example sep 22,2020)
  • the mix number (in our example Mix #247). Note: You can easily find the mix in MIXIT just by typing the mix number in the search bar in the Mix History page.
  • the work order to which the mix is attached (in our example 27NLB2). Note: the work order appears on the mix label only when the mix has been attached to at least one work order. When a mix is attached to more than one work order, then on the mix label you will see only the one work order followed by ",...". You can easily find extra information about the work order in MIXIT just by typing the work order name (or number) in the search bar in the Work Order page.
  • the layer number (in our example Layer 2).
  • the mixed quantity next to the layer number (in our example 1,00L).
  • the price for the mixed layer (in our example Layer price 134,09). Note: the layer price appears on the mix label only when the pricing module is enabled in the shop Settings.
• information about the mixed color:
  • the main color code (in our example TES114 (Brilliant Yellow))
  • the product line used (in our example Autowave MM 2.0)
  • the color codes (in our example TES114, C114, 2YW00)
• information about the mixed components:
  • the components: the toner codes when mixing colors, and primer name or clearcoat name when mixing primers or clearcoats.
  • the poured quantity in grams for each component
  • the total poured amount (in our example 1045,1g)
• information for debugging purposes
  • the version of the IM used (in our example IM-Version: 3.107.0.0)
